About

Young Counseling and Consulting, LLC is the practice of family members J.Scott Young, Sara DeHart-Young, and Sophie Young. Sara received a master's of science degree in Art Therapy from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1993 and has been a clinician in private practice since 2000. Sara is currently accepting new clients ages 18+. Sophie received a master's of arts degree from Wake Forest University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 and is currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate. Sophie is currently accepting new clients ages 18+. Inquiries or questions for Sophie may be sent to sophieyoungcounseling@gmail.com. Scott received his PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education from UNC-Greensboro in 1996 and has been a renowned educator, researcher, author and licensed practitioner since then.
